Joonhyung Shin (신준형)

Hi! I am Joon (he/him/his). I am a fourth year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics, University of Chicago. My advisor is Frederic Koehler. I studied mathematics and computer science at KAIST for my undergraduate degrees.

I am generally interested in the mathematical foundation of data science and machine learning. Recently, I’ve been spending most of my research time thinking about problems with computational-statistical gaps.
